It would be really cool to be able to add browsable apache folders as a media source :D

if the Apache is located on the same machine ,you can browse to that directory then you can add it..:)

It's not ;-)
One of my friends is sharing his media via http.
I could of course ask him for ssh access to it, and then mount it as sshfs on my own server and then add the smb in boxee... but that seems like a complicated way of doing it ;-)

this could be done via a plugin.
perhaps when i have more free-time i'll do this :) there are a few challenges that would turn up in developing something like this if i were to strive for feature-packed perfection, so if i decide to give it a shot i'll start with something very basic and if there's demand for extra functionality, then i'd take it into consideration
