View Full Version : Netflix + Boxee 1.5 Issues

Hello All,

I have been noticing for the past few weeks that Netflix plus Boxee 1.5 update (LiveTV add-in) caused Netflix to drop audio randomly intermittently for 2-5 seconds. I am on a HDMI out to TV to Digital Audio sound-bar setup. Not sure what is happening; there is no latency nor buffering occurring.

Also, Netflix app does not mark shows as watched until exiting out, and then marks as watched, or has issues moving to the next episode.

i have the same problem. First time user and a fresh install so it seems to be a general bug..

I was (and still am) having problems with my Boxee. The Netflix app stopped working a few days back. Then other things started to go wrong. I did a hard reset and all was working again except netflix.

Today I removed the unblock-US settings and Netflix came back, but of course that means that I only get 4 seasons of 'Rescue Me' and other content is similarly limited.

I'm assuming that the netflix app was tweaked to block people using the Unblock-US service.

I have the same service and netflix does work for me.. just have problems with drop in sound from time to time.

The Netflix app stopped working for me a few days ago as well. Now I just get a blank, black screen when I launch it.

There must be more people out there with this issue.

Yep, I got the same thing. When I use my normal DNS, netflix app works fine, but when I use my unblock.us DNS, I get the black screen.... Anyone get any further or have suggestions?

Netflix works perfectly fine for me. Also using unblock-us.

I do this http://support.boxee.tv/entries/328058-factory-restore everytime a patch is released, if I don't, then I'm also experiencing problems with Netflix.

Actually my Netflix is paused as I'm writing this.

Have you contacted unblock-us about this? Since it works fine with your regular DNS, I don't think it's a Netflix on Boxee Box issue.

Just checked my neflix on the 1.5.x box and all is well..('cept for the sudden increases in volume after 30+ minutes of a program...that have been there since the dinosaurs tripped over their first boxee box in a Precambrian swamp...)

Have you tried clearing your neflix data?
Settings-->System-->Services-->Clear Netflix data

They STILL haven't fixed the Netflix volume increase problem????

^ It's not Netflix any more, you'd experience the volume-increase on other apps as well !
