Give back my Front Row!

Although I like what Boxee is doing, the navigation is clunky and I'll wait for the next version before I stick with it.

I'd like to go back to using Front Row, but Boxee seems that have caused a problem. I've deleted Boxee using AppCleaner, but now my Front Row doesn't work. It freezes when loading it up and my remote isn't working.

Any idea on how I might resolve this problem? I didn't expect Boxee to hijack my Front Row like this. Ouch!

The new version will be out in a few weeks ,it should not have hijacked front row .
you can try this kill boxeeservice, and under ~/Library/LaunchAgents/ delete tv.boxee.helper.plist

make sure you have removed all the boxee files.

My front row is also broken, showing the same result as the post above.

Hi,

just letting everybody know that Boxee also hijacked my front row remote...i had to delete the app, reboot the machine and my front row was fixed...i will be now deleting the plist file as suggested by one person above....
I really love my front row remote cause a 24"imac feels like a TV..and no remote!, that hurts...

I agree with you no remote..sucks...however if you install the latest boxee and use this thread (http://forum.boxee.tv/showpost.php?p=2063&postcount=2) then you can appreciate not only front row but boxee on the 24" and it should not hijack your remote..:)

I will give it a shot again....
- just created my atvusbcreator today
- installed boxee on imac
- installed atvusb stick on my atv, it worked.
Now playing with it on my atv and imac...
I am overwhelmed and confused...not sure how i use Boxee yet...but with only 2 hrs on it yet...i admit i am impressed!. It actually works.
- tried a lot of things, add sources etc, got errors a few times, error status = 10 sometimes, and then error status = 6 some times...
Could somebody point me on how to start using it...i logged on everything...
Question:
- Once logged in, is there any privacy or am i connected to the internet and then to the world!...?
