Can the Boxee Media Manager put a face to the name, so to speak? If I have a folder with all my movies or tv shows in it, can it show the cover art instead of a preview?

Also, can it organize the shows by Name of Show, instead of all of them in disparate places?

One last thing, can it group all my movies (regardless of location) in ONE area called "Movies"? And something similar for TV Shows? I'm coming from Plex, and I'm used to the prettiness of it.

Those are all great feature requests, most (if not all) of which have been asked for before -- but currently, none of those are available in BMM. In fact, compared to even AirVideo, BMM is nothing to write home about.

I love Plex, it has become my "non-box" streamer of choice and I really love the Plex iOS client.

Thanks for responding. I've used Boxee, Plex, AirVideo, and one more that I forget the name of. If Boxee's media manager was similar to Plex's, coupled with the Boxee Box and their current solutions for streaming, it would be the hands-down best product available.

If I were to buy a Boxee Box and put .nfo files for all of my TV Shows and Movies, would it be able to group them all in one place (even though some movies are in one folder, and some are in the other)? I realize this isn't the right forum for the question, but from your reply to my prev. question, it sounds like we've both gone through similar explorations with various programs.

The Boxee Box will put all Movies on one screen and TV Shows on another (assuming we're talking about about local files).

It does this based on either filename (very similar to XBMC's and Plex's approach) or based on NFO files -- see the NFO Resources sticky in the Boxee Box section of the forum. See the third link below for more documentation on Boxee -- you should be able to find the file naming standard doc pretty easily.
