Will this be possible in the future. Id love to be able to share and browse and play films, shows and music etc from my friends lists.

There is a program on the iphone called Simplify that enables sharing of music from up to 30 friends. This would be a great implementation.

hi perrin21
sharing no..however (via friends activity /recommendations etc ) if your friend watched a movie (which had a trailer) and you selected the movie ,you can view the trailer but if you had it locally then you can play and watch it...however with music you have the option to listen to it via last.fm if you do not have it locally ,you can view your friends internet content such as youtube etc (but not their private stuff...sorry)...:)

ive had a look at Simplify on their website, this shouldnt be too difficult for someone to implement. Does anybody else think this would be a good idea?

I like the idea, but I understand why Boxee can't support sharing of Video and Audio files. It would open them up to being sued for piracy.

I agree to a point. So how do simplify get away with it? And whats wrong with just implementing a plug in for their software. That way its them breaking piracy rules if they are.

Simplify only let's friends stream audio, not video. Big difference. I agree streaming audio from your friends collections would be cool though.
