View Full Version : No torrent downloads work?

Maybe just me, or my network (I can download other torrents) but I tried to download some of those internet videos (Little shop of horrors, and a Tom & Jerry cartoon) and they both failed (never started) saying something like checked all sources?

Nothing in the log file about torrent or download.

Tell me I've done something silly.

(Ah ... this is under Hardy/linux and MacOS...)

hi johninsj
Sometimes it can take a while before these videos start to download ...can you try again and download from several different categories and leave it for a while and if it still not downloading pm me a screen shot...thanks:)

Loaded 5 up...
4 are stuck at 0% [Tried all trackers]
1 is going... yay.. topper ;)

I tried taking a screenshot in boxee (this is linux/Hard) with the PrintScreen or alt-printscreen key... popup dialog asking me (I guess) where to save it, and I am unable to make a new directory or otherwise select a location, so I assume I cannot save the screenshot...

I'll leave it trying and see if anything good happens. Trying to download little shop of horrors (60s version) and/or some 3 stooges flixs.

Still downloading ;)

So, not sure if it will help, this is a box behind a NAT firewall - I opened up a small block DNATted back to it for torrents, paused and restarted them to see if that would help...

After several hours, still grinding along on the one that started right away, it's got about 10% more to go.

For no reason I can see, after many hours, little shop of horrors started going at 20-30Kb/sec (I have it set for 600Kb down, my line does 630KB/sec sustained DSL (6MBit service))

The other 5 have downloaded a few hundred K, but are not running much/at all (0Kb down)

Still dribbling along. Sometimes just stops... pausing and restarting after a few seconds seems to kick it back up to 10K (still hardly burning down the pipes :p)

Not sure what's up.

Dribbled all night, still dribbling in ;)

Interesting - I had bumped the max up/down settings from 50/4 to 500/40, and exited Boxee, then restarted it. Did not check the settings... checked this morning since it seems "stuck" at 50/4, and sure enough the settings for max up/down had reverted (or not been saved)

I bumped the numbers back up... and right away the upload usage climbed to 40k. But download speed still seems locked at 50Kb max. On a 6Mbit line that's hardly a trickle.

I've had the same problems. Change settings, and they don't "stick". Also couldn't get one file downloaded. Gave up for now.
