View Full Version : Select correct movie by entering IMDB title number directly

I am a new user and I'm not sure whether this is possible or not. I had the experience where when I tried to get boxee to recognize a particular movie file (i don't remember which one), it gave a list of suggestions from which to choose, but none of the suggestions were the correct movie (probably bad naming on my part). Anyway, it seems that it would be useful to be able to enter the IMDB movie title NUMBER directly to get the correct result. For example, Fargo is IMDB title number tt0116282.

I like this idea :). Either have it part of the correction process (typing with the AppleRemote = the devil) or have it as another part of the filename (title.(YEAR).part.IMDB.extension) or just have the IMDB number as the file name :P

Amazing idea. So simple but would resolve most of the complaints people have about boxee. I am also still waiting for some "user feedback" showing what boxee is actually doing while scanning media etc (think XBMC pop up).
