Is anyone else having a problem watching videos or TV through Boxee? Video only shows up in upper left quarter of the screen and the rest of the screen is smeared and streaked. Sound is good though.

So if you happen to have an ATI Radeon card there seems to be a known issue and there is a way to fix it. Although it requires snooping around the hidden files in your OS.

First make sure you can see hidden files then go to:
C:\Users\user_name\AppData\Roaming\BOXEE\userdata

In my case the exact path was
C:\Users\pyrzak\AppData\Roaming\Boxee\userdata

now you need to create a file with the name advancedsettings.xml
In that file you want to put the following text:
<advancedsettings>
<glrectanglehack>yes</glrectanglehack>
</advancedsettings>

Make sure to not use wordpad or some other crummy windows text editor. if you don't know what text editor to use, try crimson editor (http://www.crimsoneditor.com/).

Then run boxee... it might work! Or it might not. I'm not an official boxee person just someone who translated a unix fix to windows and it happened to work for me. Hope that helps you as much as it helped me!
