Vista Ultimate PC, running Windows Media Center; I have it set up to minimize the MC interface when Boxee is started. P4 3.2, 2GB/RAM.
In short, when accessing Internet videos (specifically Hulu, also Joost), playback is VERY choppy; even mouse movement becomes choppy during video playback. It's not unwatchable, but it's close.
Ideas?

Try closing Windows Media Center while Boxee is open and see if this helps. If I end up with both open somehow, my whole system freaks out.

Closing MCE didn't help; also, Hulu works great elsewhere with MCE running (e.g. in the http://www.secondrun.tv plugin). This seems to be a problem with Boxee specifically. No improvement in the new builds, alas.

P4 3.2 might not be enough processor for Hulu HD 480P content. My desktop is a AMD 3000+ and playback is choppy but on my HTPC AMD 4200+ it is nice and smooth.
