I just started the Windows Alpha last week. I've seen several threads talking about jittery or jumpy video playback on Hulu. I am seeing this, but I tried Hulu directly on their web site through IE without Boxee even running and see the same jittery playback.
So is this really a Boxee issue or is it just Hulu?

It could be any of a number of things but in my case playback is perfect viewing Hulu 480p in Firefox but jittery in Boxee. I've viewed downloaded h.264
flv files in Boxee and they look good so it's most likely not the viewer but most likely something in the stream functions which, I think, is part of XBMC core and not Boxee. When I tested Hulu in XBMC there was a major problem with the 480p video playing 2x speed while the sound played normal speed so it's not just Boxee.

I've got it now. After some more searching through the FAQ on Hulu's site (not easy to find) I found something about disabling Hardware Acceleration in the Flash Player itself.
After I did that the video did play smooth when playing directly through ID, but I do still see jitter within Boxee (slightly different pattern of jitter than I saw before but definitely noticeable).
