I am using GBPVR and Hip for my MCE remote and everything works fine. I have it so Boxee will fire up but only ESC and Enter will work coming from my remote. It doesn't seem to recognize the arrow keys. I have configured HIP sending {DOWN} for my down arrow but it is not working in BOXEE. The down arrow will work on the keyboard.

Does anyone have HIP working with Boxee? Any ideas would be helpful

Same issue here, just enter and backspace. I'm assuming that Boxee only works with the IR code itself and not the replacement HIP allows. Do we have to disable Boxee remote support for HIP to work?

I switched to EventGhost. I read on XBMC that it is not running as an active window so HIP can not send all events to it??? I am not positive on this, but switching to EventGhost worked right away.

Let me know if you need help getting EventGhost to work.

I got it working pretty well by editing the keyboard.xml (C:\Program Files\Boxee\system\keymaps\keyboard.xml)

<keymap>
<global>
<keyboard>
<p>Play</p>
<q>Queue</q>
<g>Left</g>
<j>Right</j>
<t>Up</t>
<b>Down</b>

I've set left, right, up, down to be g, j, t, b which were not being used as shortcuts. I then set up hip to send thoes letters instead of the arrow keys. I'm still not sure exactly why boxee doesnt accept the arrows
