Hi I'm a bit new at linux but how the heck do i install this on Linux Mint ( which is essentially Ubuntu )? The instructions on the boxee download page do not work for me. My specific OS is Linux Mint " Elyssa " which is Ubuntu hardy. Would love to give this a whirl as boxee looks very impressive and seems to match the theme of Linux Mint very well.
Thanks guys ( or gals )

please tell me how you got this to install on mint. i did the banshee update, and i still get this when i apt-get install boxee in terminal:
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
Since you only requested a single operation it is extremely likely that
the package is simply not installable and a bug report against
that package should be filed.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
boxee: Depends: libcdio6 but it is not installable
Depends: libglew1.4 (>= 1.4.0) but it is not installable
Depends: libfaad2-dev but it is not installable
E: Broken packages
i was having so many problems with my unbuntu i switched over to mint. i am hoping i can keep mint and still run and play with boxee.
thanks!
