I'm anxious to see Boxee in action!

Here's the deal: When I start boxee I get the login screen, but it's frozen. I can't do anything with the mouse or kb and I have to ctr alt backspace to get out of it. I have verified that OpenGL is running and direct rendering is working. What I am running....

Sony Vaio Laptop
Ubuntu 8.04 32 bit
Intel X3100 graphics

Thanks!

hi willis575

the mouse is disabled at default and can be changed from the boxee settings...

regarding the issues of the keyboard the arrow keys should allow you to navigate please try to run boxee with this command " LC_ALL="en.gb" /usr/boxee/run-boxee-desktop".

If it still not working please pm your debug logs (http://forum.boxee.tv/showthread.php?t=377)

Just to throw this out there - I had a similar experience on one of my initial installs and thought it was frozen only to realize later that there was just an insane lag (minutes) - it ended up being video driver related and not keyboard/mouse.

Not saying your problem isn't keyboard/mouse but be aware...
