1. Installation: No problem
2. Run: No problem
3. Configuration:

a: Everything configures without problems except:

b: Network shares:

Boxee hangs when attemtping to recognize network resources

(which, BTW, my Apple TV Boxee does as well, w Apple TV I have to manually add share resources)

then freezes when 'backing' away from this screen

when trying to 'Manually Add Resources', input screen is OK, but 'Add Resource' button does not work

Appears to be a Boxee for Windows problems, as Vista Media Center works flawlessly on this machine.
I am looking forward to a solution, as this Windows Machine (built around the ASUS P5N7A-VM w/ a GeForce 9500GT SLI'd and an Intel E8500; 8GB RAM) has much better graphics capabilities than my Apple TV.

I can't even login/add new user.

I'm running Vista 64-bit on a boss machine with plenty of RAM, proc power, and a wicked video card...windows media center...

I am having the exact same behavior that the OP describes, running Vista Ultimate x64 as well, also on a pretty similar system with ASUS board and SLI'd nVidias.

I thought i'd see what all the fuss is about and I too recreated the above issue.
As well as boxee overriding the windows display settings. (i have a 1080i FULL HD monitor) Works fine in windows (i believe it's at 30hz) however boxee blanks out as it's trying to run at a higher refresh rate ( or so I"m assuming.)

Keep in mind everything runs fine on the linux side with my HTPC.
Either way it's not a deal breaker as I use the *win* side to test only
and the LIN* side to actually enjoy my media :)

Either way keep up the good work
