any idea about Microsoft silverlight ?

hate it, why boxee doesn't understand our needs ?

It's a Microsoft proprietary format that they haven't made available on Linux CE platforms.

Content providers such as Netflix actually have to provide alternate streaming formats to for media streamers because of this.

(And no, moonlight for Linux won't because it doesn't implement DRM that's required by tv/movie studios and yes, a search of the forums would have provided this answer for you).

So what really needs to happen is a consumer AND distributor boycott of Silverlight and the media makers that demand its use, so that this format is abolished. (Which it will be if they start losing money because of using it.)

But that is something beyond our control in this forum.
Here we can just 'bitch' about it, like I just did...:p

I'm a big fan of HTML5 and WebM, mainly because it doesn't have to deal with this mess. Hopefully we'll see it gain some foothold over the next few years...
