720p Only resolution working

Installed on 64bit Windows 7 on my HTPC. Samsung 52" 1080p 60hz. Worked great, then I rebooted and the resolution was set to 1920x1080 still however it was not scanning correctly and mis aligned like it was set to the wrong resolution. The only resolution that will work now is 720p 16:9. I can not find a configuration file for this is there something I can edit manually?

I'm trying to run at 1360x768 in XP and am having problems with mis alignment as well when running the same resolution on Boxee. When I try 720p 16:9 it jumps into windowed mode but I assume its because this resolution isnt supported with the card/driver im using?

Any Moderators or Boxee ideas on how to fix this? Thanks for any input.

I am using Boxee on a 21" 4:3 CRT display and when i try to set it to 720p resolution it goes windowed mode. I have and am using XBMC (of which Boxee is a fork after all) on this and other PCs and it can use 720p on 4:3 CRT and when the display is properly set up it looks very right. I want to use this mode because Boxee's skin is made for 720p.

Im just interested in having all the menus at the native resolution of my lcd. I realize most of the content is not near 1080 I just achieved this for a brief time (or at least it was defaulted at 1920x1080 in the settings) and don't understand why it will not work any more.

I have a similar issue running quad core phenom and a 9800gt---1280x720 works great but as soon as I switch it to 1920x1080, the FPS drops and video tears/audio video dont sync
