Crash upon launch - XP SP3

I am running Windows XP SP3 with all the current updates.

My system is a Dell laptop with 3GB RAM, Core Two Duo 2.2GHz, 160GB Hard Disk.

When I launch Boxee it immediately crashes and wants to submit an error report. Here is an image of the error report details.

I see that there was a similar thread for Vista but I didn't see one for XP.

Ditto. The error report has something in it about host name errors and junk. I can provide the error log possibly if someone would like to see it.

In your log what does it say for INFO: GL_VERSION = ? If its less then 1.4 make sure your video card supports openGL 1.4 or higher and update your drivers. This was my problem with Boxee crashing on startup in Win XP SP3.

I was getting similar problems. Sometimes on startup, sometimes at random times. I updated my net framework using windows update and no crashes since.

I am also having the same crash upon starting boxee.

Running windows xp home sp 3

tried to uninstall and reinstall, same issue

this happened from the initial windows download

still can't get boxee to run, any work arounds?

Also getting an immediate crash in Win XP SP3. No log is being generated either (at least not in Docs & Settings\user\Application Data)

Boxee sent me an XML File and then run Boxee. It then creates a log file in Application Data/Boxee dir. Based on that log file I am missing a Sources.xml file. I sent the log file back to boxee but have not heard how to get a copy of the file.

I have an error in my log file that says I'm missing sources.xml but boxee runs fine for me. What does it say for this line in your log file: "INFO: GL_VERSION ="?

Try updating your video drivers. If you are already using the latest driver then trying rolling back a version.

I am using boxee on vista home prem. x64 and xp pro sp3 with no issues on either?
