Screen Saver comes on during movie playback

in Vista Ultimate x64, i was watching a movie and every x minutes, my regular screen saver would come on. is there a way to turn this off?

might be obvious but did you turn off your screen saver in windows ?

while turning off my screen saver in windows would do the trick, using other media players (media player in full screen mode, and media center, for example) somehow disable the screensaver automatically while playing a movie.

that is what i was hoping for. i do not want to turn off the screen saver every time i want to use boxee and then try to remember to turn it back on when i am done.

Just remember the Search Feature is your friend...

Anyways as of now boxee does not control any screensaver, so just turn it off in Windows until that feature is added.

That's really funny, because I don't get this problem. I have my screen set to turn off after 10 minutes, no screensaver, and it works fine. Maybe instead of screensaver, turn that off and just set your screen to turn off after 10 minutes.
