Force refresh rate and frame rate?

In order to get smooth playback on my TV, I need to enable the 'adjust frame rate' option in XBMC and set the screen res to a custom refresh of 50hz. Can this be done in the boxee UI or do I need to mess with a config file?

Bump! Almost forgotten I'd posted this. Anyhow, I've had an idea. Will it work if I transplant the resolution and overscan settings from my XBMC settings file into the boxee equivalent? Figured it would be better to ask before I screw it all up! :p
