Well, I wish I had good news here, but read on

- Install went fine
- configure went fine until I added all my (networked, smb) sources

Now, when it tries to start (and right after I added sources on first install) it crashes. I guess I can try and find the settings for the app, nuke it, and retry...

I sent the crashdump to you and apple, but this is it just in case it helps:

Followup... deleted the network (SMB) sources (found the settings xml file, edited it, deleted the sources, then boxee would start without crash....)

Added them back one at a time...

the two that are on a linux box worked OK
They contain - mpeg2 video captures (SD/Analog video)
MP3 Audio

The third share causes the crash... it's an XP share, and it contains both Mpeg2 sd video *and* High Def transport stream (.TS) video. I am thinking you're barfing on the .ts files?

So for now, I'm not adding that share ;)

It still seems odd UI-wise... I'll navigate to something via the remote, start it (say playing a video...) and then I'l press menu (not on purpose, just trying everything!) and a menu will overlay the still playing video. Then it seems impossible to get rid of the overlay... and then I'll press something, and hey presto the overlay is gone...

It's user error, I am quite sure of it.

Anyway, one more install to go...
