Just a quick question for boxee:

Is it possible to create playlists using boxee and is there an easy way to add songs from the library at the end? (Something like a party mode, where everyone can add their favourite songs)

thanks
Leif

Hello,
actually I'm really interested in this as well. I rarely listen to music by albums; I generally drop some hundreds tracks into a playlist and listen them out of order (shuffle). Is there a way to do this in Boxee or, if not, do you plan to add such a feature?

Thanks

Alfredo

I also agree. The two main things I used XBMC for were for watching tv shows and party mode in my music. I would love to see party mode or some sort of play all available in music.

Hello, new to Boxee, have been a fan of XBMC for some time due to it's excellent handling of my music collection. I installed the latest Boxee beta just yesterday, & must say how impressed I am in the short time I've used it.:)

BUT...I saw this (old) thread on the lack of being able to shuffle entire music collections (which is how I mostly listen to music these days)
Still no progress going on 2 years later?
The lack of this feature pretty much holds back boxee from being my default media center. It does so much right, I'm hoping the devs can find a way to add this much needed feature.

Add my repository dir.fuzzthed.com. launch the playanything app. Playmusic will party shuffle your music for you.

Also has options for tvshows and movies

Still no progress going on 2 years later? The lack of this feature pretty much holds back boxee from being my default media center. Boxee beta is pretty much been re-written from alpha -- and the public beta is only a few months old...

So the primary focus has been video playback, online content, and indexing local content. Everyone agrees that the music playback (and other features) needs quite a bit of work still -- and I'm fairly confident the devs are on it (or will be) now that many of the other major features are stable...

Thanks for the encouraging comments. Still pretty new to boxee, but in just the short time I have been using it, I'm quite stoked about it. Color me impressed. :)
