Until a plugin or app arrives, heres a quick 'how to' to view some Vimeo files, which uses yahoo pipes to get the clips to autoplay:
Known issues: First off, sometimes they display in black and white (boxee known issue. Stop and start video again). Secondly, you cannot pause, resume or skip, they either autoplay or you stop.
If you want to see it in action before following the steps, add this feed to your video feeds through boxee.tv:
http://tinyurl.com/9oqf95 <- copy and paste this url, boxee doesn't like the long pipes generated feed
This is their main hd feed from http://www.vimeo.com/hd
How To:
1. Get the vimeo feed you are interested in
2. Go to http://pipes.yahoo.com/tones/boxee and add it into the Vimeo Feed text input.
3. Run the pipe and grab the rss
4. Create a tinyurl, as boxee barfs at the long one yahoo pipes produces (known issue)
5. Add to your video feeds through boxee.tv
This is a *temporary* solution until a better one comes along.....

How?
1. I tried going into app.boxee.tv and tried to add RSS Video feed.
Error: Invalid feed (#12)
The same error I get for most of my attempts to add RSS feeds.
2. launched boxee and added via "Settings / Media Sources"
Get the icon, select it, hit "Play" and get flashing star for about 3 seconds, then nothing.

Did you create a tinyurl? Boxee doesn't seem to like the long pipes feed urls (or from my limited experience doesn't seem to like long url's from other sources at all)

Did it appear from the actual pipes run page that the feed was being output ok?
Also, a slight annoying issue I have found (with Vimeo itself) is that few videos in feeds are output as HD, only those that they choose from time to time.

Your tiny url WORKS. I can enter it into MY RSS and the feed shows, I can select videos and they auto start, etc.
So, I went to my vimeo page and got the RSS from the bottom of the page.
feed://vimeo.com/user358899/videos/rss
took it to pipes and processed it and got ....
feed://pipes.yahoo.com/pipes/pipe.run?VimeoFeed=feed%3A%2F%2Fvimeo.com%2Fuser35 8899%2Fvideos%2Frss&_id=CPXcd0vn3RGFLdb56Scw5g&_render=rss
took this to tinyurl and got.
http://tinyurl.com/cglgfk
All good, the tinyurl expands to the pipe and the feed looks right, I can see the thumbnails and the videos in a browser.
Now I take the new tinyurl to boxee.tv and edit my RSS.
FEED ADDRESS> http://tinyurl.com/cglgfk < click add rss and get the message FETCHING FEED, then a few seconds later INVALID FEED #12
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Am I correct in saying that this trick doesn't support the HD quality setting? Or am I doing something incorrect?

for some reason the link that you gave works fine...
when i follow your exact steps... the feed I want to use gives an error 2 when added to my feeds in boxee
I have tried it several times, with several different vimeo pages/rss feeds to start with. And tried several shorting services... still a no go. I am trying to get the lipdubs page and my personal page to feed into boxee... any other ideas ?
Here are the 2 rss feeds I am trying to get into boxee

feed://vimeo.com/channels/lipdub/videos/rss
