Hello
I bought a Boxee Box yesterday, and I was wondering if there is any way to use an iPhone/iPod as a remote for my local music on the Boxee Box (like the "Remote" app for AppleTV)
I have been searching some forums for advice, but with no luck, so i thought i would try my luck here :-)
Thanks in advance :-)
- Sorry if my english is a little rough, it is not my 1st language

There are several iOS remotes in the Apple store... I don't believe they can "see" the music files remotely, however, if that's what you want.
AirPlay also works to play songs from iTunes and Apple devices (on the Boxee Box: Settings>>Network>>Server enable iOS streaming -- or somewhere around there).

Thank you very much for the quick reply! :-)
However, what I want is to play the music files located on the Boxee Box (on an external USB harddrive, that is) and browse through them using my iphone, without having to turn on my television - if it is possible :-)

Like I said:

Popular request but unfortunately, 3rd party apps/remotes don't have access to the Boxee Box database so it's not possible.
AirPlay is really your only option for playing music with the TV off.

If the user has an Android device, they may use our remote to do this. ;)
