Sorry no help for ya but I am having the same issue. I just joined and started boxee for the first time all was well, then I mounted a my time machine to test just to see if it would work. Exited out of boxee and then it was never the same. Now 20 seconds after login bam! crash over and over. With different threads crashing each time it seems.

Hello,
I was invited to join Boxee a few hours ago and downloaded the latest version I could find: 0.9.3024
After I login there is a 5-10 second pause and then Boxee crashes. Sometimes without a crash report. Attached is my boxee log file.
If it helps, I am running on a mid-end Early 2008 MacBook.
Thanks,

Hi guys
Please send me some info about your setups.
Are you connecting any external HD .
Boxee starts to scan your Movie/Music files ,what type of content do you have?
Please try to remove your profiles by going to this directory ~/Library/Application Support/BOXEE/UserData/profiles/, and delete the folder by the user name. for example, delete ~/Library/Application Support/BOXEE/UserData/profiles/marcel, as my user name is "marcel".
Then try to run boxee again and send me the debug logs .
thanks ...:)

Hey marcel,
Thanks! That seemed to have done the trick. After I deleted my folder under profiles Boxee stopped crashing. However... It seems a bit sluggish. It also doesn't seem to create any thumbnails for my media.
I have one external HDD over FireWire which holds all my anime and other junk. My music is in iTunes 8, which is in the default location: /Users/username/Music/iTunes/iTunes Music/
I also have another external HDD over USB2.0 which I connect once a week for Time Machine to backup stuff to (I'd connect it all the time, but Time Machine causes my MacBook to freeze).
My Anime is all in either MKV, or AVI (I use Perian for QuickTime MKV support, as well as VLC for AVIs). My music is all MP3 with a couple in m4a. I think I have a number of wma files iTunes didn't convert but copied over. I also have Fluke installed which I plan to use for FLAC support in iTunes once I re-rip my CDs now that I have a fancy yamaha receiver + Paradigm speakers.
As for the MacBook itself, its a standard early 2008 2.4GHz white with 4GB (2x2GB) of DDR2-667 Kingston (Apple Certified) memory I got off of NewEgg ($80, steal!). I also have an eVGA UV PLUS+ UV16 USB to DVI dongle which I use for my second external monitor. Don't know if its important or not. My primary external monitor is off of the mini-DVI on the MacBook.
I also have a bunch of web developing stuff installed like several Apache2 installs, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQLite, Python (, Django), PIL, PHP, etc.
Oh, I also have MacFuse and ntfs-3g installed so I can read/write to NTFS partitions, though I don't use it much anymore as I converted everything external to HFS+ and plan to get MacDrive for my Vista box.
Don't know what other information you want.
Attached is the latest log. I manually added my external HDD (I used /Volumes/External/ as the path) in settings because it wasn't found automatically. I also tried to watch an episode of Code Geass to test how well it was working. No thumbnails where generated for some reason which kinda sucks. File names also got cut off.
The log file is a wee bit longer than it was last time. If you want a log file of just me logging in then exiting let me know.
Cheers,

hi robodude666
good to hear boxee is working and not crashing:)
Please send me some more info regarding which media are not generating thumbnails..(e.g content media(video/music) ,full name of the content as found in HD).
Did you try an manually recognize the content. Just post me a few examples.
