Hi,
I have an iMON remote that came with my htpc case.

Is there any chance of putting it to work with boxee on linux?
On windows it has it's own software that works well, but on ubuntu can't seem to make it work.
thanks!

The instructions for getting a remote working in Linux can be a bit daunting, if you are new to the platform...
I can do my best to help you out, but I don't own you remote.
From the link you offered, it's not entirely clear (or I just missed it) the exact Model Number/Model Name of the remote.
Is it's correct name iMon OEM (Inside)?
OK, I think I found out which model it is... The picture on you link is to small to tell, so can you tell me if this is it:

Also, for completeness, can I assume you are running a stock install of Ubuntu 8.04 32bit?

Hi!
Yes, that's my remote. And it's the OEM (it came bundled with my pc case) inside, it connects via internal usb, it also connects to the power switch cable to remotly turn the computer off.
Yes, i'm running ubuntu 8.04 stock.
It would be great to put my remote working on ubuntu. :)
Thank you
off topic: i've tried boxee on the utuntu 8.10 intrepid beta 5 and it would not run.

Let me try to figure out how to configure your exact remote.
I will try to post the instructions in the next day or two.

I just wanted to drop in and let you know I haven't forgotten about your remote... Been a crazy week.
I should be able to get to sorting out a decent howto over the weekend.
