This is what i get when i run it from terminal:

cd: 38: can't cd to /usr/boxee/3rdparty/rtorrent
17/09/08 16:46:15#DEBUG#bxbgprocess.cpp:142(Start)#bg process initialized. 1 worker threads created.
17/09/08 16:46:15#DEBUG#bxcurl.cpp:54(Initialize)#curl initialized. version <7.18.0>

Running Boxee test...

I also verified that direct rendering is enabled.

Running Graphics Card:

hi omgitsmit

sorry:( ...the Radeon Mobility 7500 is unsupported. our minimal requirements include an opengl 1.4 compatible card. according to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_ATI_graphics_processing_units, your card is an open gl 1.3.

Thank you for answering my problem!
It's nice to see some actual support with a project for once :)

Any news on Boxee for PowerPC? (PS3 would be epic!)

Thanks again.

I did not want to open a new forum for what looks like the same problem. I just installed boxee and it just crashes at startup (xbmc also crashes). I have a HD 2600 video card in my laptop and here is the log that I was able to generate (at least what looks like the relevant parts)

10:31:58 T:3083159392 M: 55955456 ERROR: Load Error loading /home/rothgar/.boxee/UserData/sources.xml: Line 0, Failed to open file

Please let me know if there is something I can do to fix this. Thanks

hi rothgar
It seems like a different problem but lets see if we can help...:)
please pm your debug logs (http://forum.boxee.tv/showthread.php?t=377)
also, please try running boxee from command line, as it might give more insights into the problem.
open terminal and run /usr/boxee/run-boxee-desktop.

If your files are too large then please use a paste site for example paste the link into www.pastebin.comalso please also include output from glxinfo.
thanks

Hey, if you check for posts under my username you should find one about the 2600 series (desktop card though). I found that the latest ATI driver from the AMD website didn't work, but installing through ENVY did the trick.

Thanks for the suggestions so far,

First of all what I did was I tried reinstalling the driver with Envy (which is how I originally installed the driver). After a reboot I get the same thing.

Here is my debug log.

http://pastebin.com/m225d54cf

and here is glxinfo

rothgar@compressor ~ $ glxinfo
name of display: :0.0
Segmentation fault

Probably not a good thing :(

hi rothgar

this does not help ...see this url (http://wiki.daimi.au.dk/cpntools-help/use_glxinfo_for_linux.wiki) it gives you an example on the output of glxinfo..try this thread (http://forum.boxee.tv/showthread.php?t=345)and see if it helps
