Adding Youtube Channels

It would be nice to be able to eventually add my own channel in youtube and be able to watch my favorites and check out my subscribed channels.

You can already view your own channel, and your favorites.. go to the 'Options' menu from within the Youtube plugin, and enter your username there. You might have to restart boxee for it to take effect, but 'My Favorites' and 'My Uploads' will then show up.

As for subscriptions, it's definitely possible & it's a good idea.
