How about the idea of having a pop-up dialog automatically show up with the option to rate and/or recommend your video after you have watched it or stopped it (within 15% from the end of it), and if you chose to ignore rating it at that time Boxee should keep a list that you can go and rate and/or recommend them all later, if you like.

+1... So long as the functionality can be toggled on/off in the settings.

Agreed as long as the toggle option is there.

It seems that a semi-forced rating would be rather onerous for all users, but if you wish to rate it by default, then you get to do it.

An example would be if I've pulled "time shifted" episodes of NCIS down from a torrent and wanted to have a NCIS marathon one Saturday, rating each episode would be a bit of a pain.

Maybe, since we can tell Boxee that a "folder" is TV episodes, we could rate the "show" and if we want to rate a specific episode other than the "love/hate" that has "globally" been set, we could do that.

Just a thought.

hey guys,

agree with all of you. when we first thought of boxee social features this was on our list. we hesitated for a while on how to implement it as we, of course, do not want to make you mad at us :)

i think having the option to remove this feature straight from the rate window it self is indeed the solution.

this will go into our feature todo list.

thanks!
