It seems that every time I try and play video on Boxee, I get some sort of color filter issue. B&W is in the corner, reds are normal sized, and blues are stretched out. Playing Boxee on XP SP3, no additional codec packs outside of my knowledge, and this happens with Quicktime files that I try and play. Audio is okay however.

Is this the player, or some codecs, or something else?

It looks like an overlay issue probably caused by a codec pack. essentially what I think is happening is boxee is playing using one resolution whole your codec is doing anothr. Try uninstalling your codec pack then running boxee. Codec packs cause lots of wierd problems like this. You should just let boxee use it's buit in codecs.

boxee does not use windows codecs, nor any part of windows' media framework.
