Adding internet video channel?

I'm trying to figure out how I can add Daily Show full episodes as a boxee streaming video channel. I don't want a permanent local download, just the ability to browse recent episode streams through the boxee interface. Suggestions? I'm not getting it.

Where are the shows coming from?

I doubt you'll be able to legally add them, as there is no Daily Show podcast. If you have a "less than official" source, so long as they offer an RSS feed/Podcast of the videos, you can add the URL in the Sources section on Settings.

If you are referring to the Flash streams offered on Hulu/Comedy Central, there is no way to add them. Well, unless some one writes a plugin to scrape the FLV(Flash Video) file from those sites.

I was hoping I could use the Comedy Central stream. I'm glad it's not just something obvious I'm missing.

I do not know the site you are trying add ,however in general you will need to build a plugin see this thread (http://forum.boxee.tv/showthread.php?t=289) .

you can also go to the Boxee Package contents and browse to:

Contents\Resources\boxee\plugins\video\Youtube

and review the coding there to see if that helps you..:)

Thanks for the quick reply but im not a programmer so ill probably not be able to work it out. If there is anyone with half a brain out there who would help me out, id be greatful

Are you sure, you better turn off the feeds otherwise people will know what your up to.

items in feeds don't default to 'watched'... you have to rate/recommend them, for them to show up.

but, i guess rating good porn is a rather neighborly thing to do.
