Just took a look at XBMC. They have a nice weather page that shows not only the current conditions, but three additional days forecast.
Is there anyway to include something like that? An additional page showing radar would also be helpful.

Hi gregwa
Most things that are in xbmc can be implemented into boxee usually by adapting the plugin script maybe in the future versions depending on resources and demand .
You are more than welcome to try yourself to implement this plugin .This thread (http://forum.boxee.tv/showthread.php?t=202) will give you more insight in creating a plugin .
enjoy :)

@marcel, weather in XBMC is not a plugin nor a script.

Gamester17,
Thanks. I thought I was getting too old for this fun stuff. I couldn't for the life of me find a script or plugin...but wasn't willing to give up yet. Glad to know I'm still not too old to enjoy the fun! ;)

Yeah, weather in XBMC is a native function coded in C++ just like the video, music, and picture sections. You could probably enable it in Boxee but it would be via the skins XML files, not a python plugin or script like an add-on.

Somewhat off topic, but:
I've always thought that selecting the time/weather "button" at the top of the main screen should bring up a detailed weather forecast, as appose to the time settings page.
I think that would be a good place to re-expose the weather functionality of XBMC; as this is a more logical thing to expect from that button. Having a configuration page directly linked to the main interaction page SEEMS like a usability no-no. It's a logical place to look, if you're looking for it. Further, it doesn't add clutter to the left-hand navigation menu.
Just some thoughts.

@Gamester17
thanks for correcting me...:)

actually @marcel is very much correct, and so is @gs17 :) the current functionality we expose is based on the internal c++ code, that does not mean that you cannot do a plugin in python for weather.com or weatherbug etc.

Once again, I'm beginning to feel rather old.
Do I understand the group that the functionallity is already there and exposed, and that a simple XML definition file would suffice once there is something that would call it (like a button on the sidebar or clicking on the weather/time button)?
The "MyWeather.xml" file that is included with Boxee is a small skeleton of the same file that is included with XBMC. So, in theory (at least I think so) the one from XBMC could be used as a sample to make a new one...Right?
Thanks to everyone for their help.

I would like to just bump this thread again as a several day forecast is one feature that I was looking forward to, and was sad when it noticed it wasn't there.
So here's my vote to get this worked into the roadmap
thanks

Any other Mac users seen the weather page in the XBMC-ported app Plex? It is gorgeous!
