Hi there,
there is so much content that doesn t work for none US folks.
No Hulu, all the cool stuff from joost, no netflix, no cbs, and many many more stuff.
I just hope the folks from pirate bay release thevideobay.com soon with rss support.
Does anyone of you gets around this limitation with a proxy? if yes could u share your experiences?
Thank You

First of all, there is LOADS of great content available to non-US based users, especially with the release of the public alpha with Joost, and iPlayer support.
Secondly, lots of XBMC plugins work very well to get GREAT additional content
Thirdly, look into using RSS feeds for more content - when I discovered this feature it was like having a whole new boxee :)
Finally using a VPN/Proxy can indeed work, but due to the popularity of free services like hotspot shield, you will find that the servers are often saturated and dont provide adequate throughput for streaming video, resulting is stuttering and jerky playback.
I have had success with some paid services. There are plenty out there. Witopia is the best value, but with them I only sometimes get good enough throughput.
Im running on OS X. YMMV
Good luck, and keep us informed on what you do...

http://alwaysvpn.com/ look like a replacement of hotspot shield(only mac and PC) on Ubuntu. I tried it but it's so slow for the moment. Hope they will improve the speed.

I agree that RSS is a great thing, but I was not able to find anything close to the quality documentaries of discovery channel, national geographics, history channel or any place where I could watch fairly recent films or shows like lost/the simpsons and and and.
BBC iplayer is also just for the UK, doesn t help if you live in Germany, France, Belgium, Italy, Spain ...
The good news is that Hulu and BBC is working to make some content available for none U.S.. I think they could make a lot of money if they would seek for some European Advertisement partners to provide there content profitable in Europe as well.

It's the same for me, I'm from Spain and I cannot access the content of CBS for example, I cannot watch "How I met your mother" and any other series. But, it is said that the video have been moved of something like that, so I really don't know if this is the issue or is because I'm non-us user...

And if some one could explain how can I add rss and what it means...
The last thing, I have a MacBook 2GHz and 2GB Ram, the previous to the new model and every time I use Boxee and watch some video, the CPU is running to 60% or something else... is Intel Core 2 Duo... 60% is so much... some has the same thing?
