I know it's my first post so I'd like to start off by saying how amazed I am at this program. I've used XBMC since the day it went public (ok maybe 2 days later :p) but you guys have managed to really take the software to the next level IMO.

So here are my suggestions, please forgive me if they've been mentioned before.

1) Boxee to Boxee support. I'm so impressed with this software I am going to put it on some of my friends and families computers. I'd love for them to be able to watch my TV shows and Movies and vice versa.

2) Support for Hulu. Hulu has a ton of great content and it would be great to be able to access it all from within Boxee. I'd also love to see the ability to add video's from the major networks pages (Such as NBC). I've wanted a single resource for all my streaming video but there just isn't one, I have to bounce around from site to site, looking for something to watch and in the end I spend more time surfing the rotting my brain with TV..

3) Split up Video in to different sections. Currently all my movies and TV shows all end up in the same directory. To me there is a big difference between the mood to watch a movie and the one for watching TV. It's really just a work flow issue but it would be nice to have separate sections.

4) The ability to delete videos from within Boxee. I get the whole do no harm approach but it is a hassle to leave Boxee and go in to my file manager to find the file to delete. I'd prefer to just do it within Boxee, in fact I don't want to ever have to turn Boxee off (how's that for an endorsement!?!). I'm cool with a nag screen (hopefully with the option to turn it off) that asks "Are you really really super sure you want to delete this file?".

Well I'm sure I'll have more ideas later but it's my first post here so I'll cool out for now.

Thanks again guys the program is spectacular (and it's still alpha!!)

I share your views. You can easily filter out the tv shows though ;)

Some good ideas, however may I suggest that you split up all the feature requests and start a new separate thread for each unique feature (after searching, as most of them have already been requested). It is much easier to track and search if each unique feature is discussed in its own thread.

Note also that a verbose and clear topic summery already really help when browsing or searching. Just do a search for "mythtv" in this forum now and you will know what I mean, (if the topic is "My suggestions" or similar then people will not have an easy time finding it if they search if other people written a similar thread with a similar generic topic summary).

Thanks for the info. I wouldn't have thought to break it up (no forum spam for me!) but that makes a lot of sense. Next chance that I have to sit with the program I'll do just that..

thank you, it means a lot to me to see this. i was an avid xbmp/xbmc user before starting boxee, and xbmc changed my life in many ways.

there is a legality issue with that, but by connecting with content providers, we hope to achieve just this, like we currently do with last.fm.

agreed

once under Video section, click on options > filter and choose TV Shows for example

we are not really a file manager, but the functionality does exist (it has existed under xbmc for ages, we're just not exposing it), so we probably will support this at some point.

thank you very much for your comments, and keep em coming
