hi all,

using @infinitelymeta (http://twitter.com/infinitelymeta) suggestion on how we should call pre-alpha releases, this is our first in the [primordial ooze] series, featuring mainly bug fixes for the current mac release (http://forum.boxee.tv/showthread.php?t=296).

i ask that only users whom are willing to share their thoughts on the release get it, especially ones who have previously reported issues with boxee in the forums, and that you erase your profile (http://forum.boxee.tv/showthread.php?t=46) before using it, so we know its a version issue and not an upgrade issue.

and yes. its supposed to run on tiger.

registered boxee alpha users get it here (http://dl.boxee.tv/boxee-0.9.3024.dmg). others should first procure an invite (http://forum.boxee.tv/showthread.php?t=144).

yes. its supposed to run on tiger.Great! Why not send an e-mail to all Mac OS X users promoting that fact?, ...I bet there where a lot of Tiger users out there who registered before without knowing that Boxee did not support Tiger at that point, they might have been disappointed then but should be thrilled now

This version will still not let VMWare have the keyboard, unfortunately. Had to rename Boxee.app and kill boxeeservice in order to do real work.

@wari - you can just disable the remote via settings->system->apple-remote.

Namely, sporadic pausing and cover art being wrong.

I just deleted my BOXEE directory in Application Data completely and installed this latest build. So far it seems much more responsive to my media (8TB+) and more stable. I'll let you know if I have any more problems.

I am running a 2ghz MacMini.

Thanks everyone great work!
