Can't login or change my password

When I signed up I used an auto generated password on 25 chars. I downloaded the app but can't login (wrong password it says). I can still log into the website, but If I try to change my password it says that my original password is wrong (the one I just used to log into the site with!).

I'm guessing that one of the chars in my password is messing things up... maybe a quote or something.

My password consists of letters, numbers and special chars (like "$`+~,!/[)

this is weird as the pwd you use for the website is the same for the boxee...make sure that you are entering in the correct password in the client ...if this still persists email me marcel[at]boxee[dot]tv your pwd so i can check the characters.

In all cases (logging in to the website, logging into the app or trying to change my password on the website) I cut'n'paste the password.

Could it be that certain "dangerous" chars are not escaped in your SQL but just stripped? (like quotes)

hi watson - it may well be that your password is sanitized in several ways in both client and server (and not necessarily the same ways).

please use the "forgot my password" to set a slightly more boxee-friendly password. this issue is known and will be ratified in the future.
