Saw the request, just want to add support - if there is only one user, it would be great to be able to go straingt to the main menu.this would go a long way for "spouse buy-in" of the interface.

thanks, and it looks good so far!

Hi SMKTester

Welcome to boxee...:)

On the boxee roadmap will be implemented in the future...

Is there any update to this feature? Looking to set this up along with the 'coming soon' autoboot into Boxee on ATV. This way Boxee will always be in a state where the XBMC Remote app can control it, without having to go to a screen to select users etc.

Keep up the great work, much apreciated.

Not sure where this one's at, at the moment, but a definite +1 for me ... there will only ever be one Boxee user on this box and now I'm setup, I don't have a need to be prompted at start ... :-)

IMO this should be the norm (autologin). And setting up additional profiles should be an option for advanced setup under settings. One less click for the majority of users.

Could do the same on exit (make suspend a settings option). Why is suspend there? I have no need for it right now.

ummm... because other people have a need for it?

It makes those who don't plan on suspending click another time just to exit boxee. It would be great if there was an 'option' (in settings/system maybe?) to exit 'immediately' when hitting the 's' key? Or maybe there could be another key like 'e' or 'x' or 'q' that exits without seeing suspend.

Also in the main boxee left menu I think suspend should be below exit. Just my opinion.

It would be great if this feature (autologin) would be added! :-)

Please add me to the +1 list for auto-login. Now that I have Boxee being launched from MythTV's front end it'd be nice to save a click.

Likewise a quick true "Exit" would be nice.

Also prefer auto login as HTPC in living room does not need different settings. With remote. it is difficult to select user and login. Thanks!

+1 for auto login. This can't take but a few minutes to add this simple, but much requested feature. Cheers!

Yay for yet another update on the heels of 9.13. :) It's getting much more stable over the last few months.

yeah +1 here too. obviously this isn't a huge issue or anything, but it does seem like most boxee users are the sole user on their machine, and this would be nice.

I have been hoping for the same. Dedicated boxee media center box, I am the only user, and I have to run up and plug a keyboard in, just to hit enter and unplug again.

I wish linux had applescript....

I want to thank you guys for writing such a wicked program! This fix would be handy for us too, we don't actually use more than the one login in my house.

I used AutoIt to make a loader exe for Windows which logs in automatically (with a single profile) if anyone wants it.

Hear, hear! :)

We're a household of two, and my girl and I watch and listen to the same stuff. No need to create extra steps to get to the action!

This was indeed the first feature request that popped in my mind when starting boxee for the first time.

I'm confident that you can make it happen.
