Downloaded Boxee -- thanks TSella!
Netflix video stutters horribly within Boxee. The same movie, watched instantly on netflix.com (via Firefox) works perfectly. I get no Internet speed slowdown error messages, etc.
Not sure why this happens but thought I would post feedback. This looks to be a great product and am going to keep playing with it.

Hi I just started using Netflix on boxee via macbook pro and OS X, for me it works beautifully; you installed the latest version of silverlight, yes?
Also, how's your internet speed and hardware on the PC you're using?

I downloaded Silverlight yesterday from microsoft.com so I assume it is the latest...
My Mac (not PC) is hardwired to the router and I get 24810 kb/s downloads. I have the latest MacBook Pro with 4GB of RAM and the 2.53GHz CPU.

Hi, this is a known issue on netflix playback. It happens with me as well (on every system I try it on). I try netflix playback within boxee then at the same time do it via a browser and the browser plays back just fine whilst boxee does not (and takes 3-4 min to even start playing). I heard that there are high hopes for the next release of boxee. I do hope so.

Yes, I believe it is a known issue, was hoping it was fixed by the time I downloaded it but I guess I have to wait for a bit ... :(

Hi, I'm new to the boxee test team.
I have a similar issue as pitrie17. Netflix plays perfectly and with high quality using Safari. Netflix via boxee, loads and plays the selected movie with very low quality video. I haven't yet had the studder problems, but the video quality is so low its virtually unwatchable.
I get the "reduced network speed" message from Netflix when using boxee. My paid for and normally received and verified/tested Internet download speed is 2.5 Mbps.
Does boxee put bandwidth limits on the Netflix streams? I seem to recall that when I first installed boxee I saw a limit of 50 kb/s on video downloads, and could not change that setting. Now, I can't find this setting.

Is there a way to set the buffer settings for Boxee?

boxeetester99 I think what you saw was under Settings, Video, General. It is in regard to Video size in MB not speed.
The next version of Boxee that is probably coming out on the 8th will most likely have this fixed.

Same thing here. I've messed around with settings, but can't seem to improve the quality.
