First I would like to say thanks in advance for any help anyone can offer. I am trying to set up boxee on my Mac that is connected to a network that also uses a computer with windows XP.
My home network works fine and front row can access the files on the XP computer. When I try to add content in Boxee under the Settings/Media Sources, only the files and drives on my mac appear. I can also access everything else over the internet. The XP computer files never appear.
Can someone suggest any other items that I need to include in my setup which follows:
network:
nothing checked
Servers:
Enabled web server is checked
Web server Port 8800 (this port has been forwarded on my router}
Web server passord has been entered
SMB Client
only the workgroup name has been entered
I have tried to access the XP files through the manual method of inputing it's IP address 192.168.1.2 without luck.
