boxee is already the newest version.
The following packages were automatically installed and are no longer required:
python-bluez python-pgm python-avahi python-mutagen libavahi-gobject0
python-daap python-pylirc libpigment0.3-4 python-setuptools
python-pkg-resources python-gpod
Use 'apt-get autoremove' to remove them.
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.

I got version 0.9-r2927
is this the newest version?

yes, that is the latest version.

generally, when apt-get says 'x is already the newest version' , it's not lying unless you need to run apt-get update .

if you're trying to see if there's anything newer than what's in the repository, unfortunately the latest svn builds aren't available to us, but you can still download the source after logging into boxee.tv . the source available on there right now seems to be one revision up (0.9-r2928), and is probably not different from 2927 in the very least.
