i was making a bad joke... it didn't pan out.

i just remember when gmail came out that EVERY form had a 'gmail invite' thread. you could be on a forum about underbody treatments for cars and they'd have a 'gmail invite' thread.

i was--poorly--equating the irrelevance of asking for a Demonoid invite on the boxee forums to the early days of gmail requests.
