Latest test release of GameTrailers is available under branches do not checkout from trunk if you already have this release.

The installation instructions on your site don't have anything for Apple TV users. Any way for those users to install the plugin?

I couldn't make it work in Boxee (ATV) but it works on XBMC. I asked in that blog and my question got deleted lol

I don't see the really cool and smooth interface that is in the screen shots. I just see the default boxee interface. What must I do to get the new one?

Blast! I just got the code for the early version =P. I am loving the apps. Much better look and functionality then the plugins

I just tried updating to v1.0 and now I can't access the plugin. I think I might have done it wrong - I closed boxee, replaced the gametrailers folder in the boxee/plugins folder, opened boxee and re added the source.

Now when I go to the plugin in boxee it fails to retrieve straight away.

Gametrailers is no longer a plugin and therefore should not reside in the plugin folder. Please remove all related to your original install and follow the instructions here (http://boxeehq.com/plugins/gametrailers). Let me know how it works out!

I ended up staying up until 6am watching GT content last night on 0.9 :D

Just installed 1.0.
With 0.9 it was taking a long time for icons to show for content - 1.0 seems to have improved things greatly. Not sure if that was a network issue last night or if changes have been made..

Also noticed the submenus have been made a little smaller so as not to bleed into the currently playing window in the top right (nice touch btw).
But now, some of the background menu highlighting isnt quite aligned with the menu text.

Personally, I think i'd prefer alternate text colour rather than the backround 'tabbed' approach, but Im sure thats a personal thing, and just as many would prefer it one way to the other..

Would be nice to think of some other way to show the sub menus.
I think it would be more usable if the main content screen was made smalled, each box made slightly smaller (at least in width) to accommodate a vertical submenu, perhaps on the right of the screen.

The only other thing I would like to see added is search capability.

Finally - Im not getting any icons on the Retrospective shows, and when I click on one, i get 'No results found'

All in all, Im incredibly impressed by this app, especially for a 1.0 release
Great content, much of it in HD, UI very nearly there.

Most chuffed with this latest boxee addition.

Now off to try openfilm :D

As for the submenu, 'Browse' is the only menu that actually has a submenu which is the reason I didn't want it taking up so much content space. Thus it ended up at the top rather then on the side.

However I agree with you in a different colored text rather then a highlighted background.

As for retrospectives, check them all... most work. Its actually an issue on the back-end and not the app. So don't worry about that, we'll fix it soon enough.

A search function along with a 'Browse by Game' view is something im looking at for the next release. So enjoy for now :-) I'll let you know when we start work on all that.

You're right of course :)

However, Id still like to see more content per screen. Perhaps three columns, four rows.
However, I concede that this may be a function of me viewing on a projector and so on small screens it may already be optimal.
Perhaps an app option?

Thanks for the reply. I can't find my sources.xml in windows and the instructions only give the location on linux/mac. Any idea where it is?

The Plugin looks great, but i always get a segmentation Fault, when i try to view a video but I guess it's not the fault of your app :)

gttv is broken on all platforms. riegersn is aware of this.

yes it is all outdated. I haven't had time to update this lately but hopefully i can update it soon.

This is one of my favorite channels, I love gaming especially this time of year. With so many titles coming out early next year i'll last longer than usual.

I just exit Boxee to play them manually but I'd would definitely use it everyday if it were updated.

I do have a question though, It almost seemed like some of the data was on a different server then GT. Will you have to cache info to a different server instead of getting it directly from GT?

Yeh the GameTrailers application was actually my best and most used app on boxee, im sad to see it gone but cant wait for the new version. I too noticed that the streams seemed to not come from GT directly but be converted or something on the way to boxee. Is this true?
