Problems with Adobe Illustrator

I was unable to press the spacebar to utilize the Hand Tool, and unable to use shift to proportionally scale objects.

it was related to the boxee process that is always running in the background (WHY??)

I killed it with the Activity Monitor and now my Illustrator is doing fine.

There's a lot of other applications that causes the same problem, here's a discussion on Adobe's forum:

Try to fix this for the final release of Boxee.. it's SUPER ANNOYING!

I've uninstalled Boxee now.. :( it's a great app, but I use Illustrator for my job everyday..

thanks for the report.
my guess is that its the service process which is responsible for remote input.
will take care of that.

btw - you can make the remote process only run when boxee is running.
"go into settings->system->apple remote" and uncheck the "always running" box.

that way - the remote process will only run when boxee is running and when boxee is not running the input to other apps should be ok.
