Using boxee on mac. Whenever it loads, get a black screen. Deleted UserData folders and restarted, still blank screen. Redownloaded and installed-same. Attached is the error log. I have it working fine on two other macs, just not this one (and under linux)

further research on my end- keys seem to be working, I hear the sounds and navigation blindly works (at least i think so). Using a mouse, the cursor disappears behind where the buttons should be (like the ones when you first login and have to select the user to login with)
Any ideas?

I had this same problem on a hackintosh computer I built. I realized that the sound card wasn't configured. Once it was, Boxee ran fine and the black screen went away.

alexeygu, I am having this problem with my hackintosh. Can you point my in the right direction to fix it. I have boxee running on my acer aspire one in 10.5.5 and it works really good. I have tried boxee on Ubuntu 8.10 on vaio and it works there really nice too except for the few crashes but when i try to open boxee on my shuttle core 2 due i get a blank screen. The funky part is that i even get blank screen in front row. I know that front row used to work with my Samsung 22" monitor. Now i am using Toshiba 37" LCD TV and i am having this problem. I have a feeling my video drivers are not working right even thought i get the proper resolution. I have VisionTek HD 3450 video card connected to the TV through HDMI. alexeygu let me know what you did to fix your sound maybe thats my problem.

alexeygu, i've got sound working outside of boxee.
I think my problem now is video related. I can not get front row to work either. my Core Image is set to software instead of Core Image: Hardware Accelerated and Quartz Extreme is Not Supported. I'm going to keep playing and see if I can get it to work.
The Mac version seems more stable than the Linux release. The linux seems to have problems with hulu and etc for me.
Thanks

Any results on this?
I just installed my hackintosh, and I am experiencing the same issues.
I ran OSX86tools, and enabled Quartz GL. I have a Quad Core Q6600 w/nVidia 7300GL 256mb video. 2G ram, and on-board Intell ALC888 audio. The sound is working, but the video is blank.
What other tools can I use to get more info about what is happening?
a Verbose Boxee mode for execution from a terminal maybe?

After thinking for a few days that this is related to core graphics, I was wondering how to quickly test if core graphics is actually working.
1: Open the MAC dashboard (F12, or FN+F12)
2: Copy a new widget on to the dashboard.
3: if a wavy-water effect occurs when the widget is placed onto the dash, then coreimage is working properly. If not, then coreimage is not working.
Boxee relies on coreimage.
On a hackintosh, be sure proper drivers are loaded, and EFI strings are loaded into the com.apple.Boot.plist file. Use EFIStudio to assist for most nVidia and ATI cards. Be sure to remove the nvinject kext file from the /System/Library/Extensions folder before rebooting.
This solved the problem for me... next up.. choosing digital audio from an add-in card instrad of the on-board analog.
