can i change folder for incomplete (and complete) downloads?

hi all - just searched around a bit and can't seem to solve my problem.

basically i want all torrent activity to occur on my external FW drive to conserve GB on my boot volume, but changing the download path doesn't work and i can't even figure out where the incomplete downloads are, let alone how to change it.

1) when i change the downloads path in the torrents settings it returns to default, not sure when, maybe when i restart the app.

2) when i add a .torrent to the download queue i lose a lot of free GB. it seems like maybe boxee is greedy and reserves the disc space for the torrent before the file is actually there.

3) due to limited GB on my boot volume i have to move completed downloads to my external drive and kill the torrents which prevents me from continuing to seed.

this is a bug in the current build. :(

i believe this to be a limitation of rtorrent... i'm not sure it's something that can be overridden.
