VPN & Netflix/VUDU does it work for you?

Looking for people that use VPN's to access Netflix and Vudu.
In the past i was always able to connect to witopia vpn on boxee box and load up Netflix of Vudu. It seems that since the last update it's no longer working.
I can connect to the vpn, pandora works and other apps... but Netflix and Vudu always error out, i have not been able to get them to load up yet.

If i run the vpn on my router everything works fine on boxee.. looks to me like Boxee implemented a "new feature" without mentioning it, that checks to see if your using a VPN when trying to use Netflix or Vudu.
Anyone have any success getting it to work? If so what VPN provider are you using?

I think plenty of folks are using StrongVPN and/or OpenVPN just fine for Netflix and/or VUDU... you might want to search forums on those to providers for more info.

yeah i checked the other threads.. some say StrongVPN works fine, others say it doesn't.. i would like to know if they are using it on their routers, or on the BB. Any vpn should work fine on a router.. using it on the BB is where the issues are happening i think. My luck i would buy StrongVPN and it wont work on the BB, only router :rolleyes:

I've used Open VPN for 6 months from the US and get Can/UK/Eur content just fine. Super easy to use and I'm not really techy.

You could also use Unblock US, instead of a VPN solution. It works great and it does not rely on some client on the Boxee Box. You just change the DNS servers on your router (or just Boxee Box).
I use it for Netflix from Denmark and it just works.

yeah everything besides Netflix and Vudu work for me too.. it's only Netflix and Vudu that this is happening with.

did you ever find a solution for this? i too am using witopia and have no problem with pandora just netflix :(
