Have some HD content that is encoded in a WMV wrapper. Video plays fine but no audio. Audio is 6 channel WMA3 from Windows Media Audio 9 Pro.

Mplayer will play the files on my mac but downmixes them to 2 channels.

Any chance for support for this?

FFmpeg (http://www.ffmpeg.org) (the open source codec suit that Boxee uses) does not yet support WMA Pro 9 nor WMA Pro 10. MPlayer only supports it because it loads Microsoft's binary DLL codecs (taken from Microsoft Windows Media Player) and loads them, ...and Boxee's audio and video players can not load binary DLL codecs like MPlayer can.
