This current version of Boxee hates me. It has been doing this all along since I updated yesterday but I've only now gotten around to screen capping it.
Basically after I have added a new source to Boxee the graphics go all screwy until I have loaded up maybe 3 or 4 different menus and then it works again.
I'm using Xubuntu 8.04. It worked fine with the previous version. :confused:

weird. did you have music in the bg while adding the new source?
try doing while not playing anything.

It happens everytime, regardless. :(

Its a GEforce4 thing, using the Ubuntu Nvideo drivers. I have 1GB of Ram. It only happens after adding a new source, never any other time, and has only happened since the update. I'm not using Compiz.

Post a debug log and a backtrace, (upload to pastebin.ca (http://www.pastebin.ca) and post the links here)
...if it can be replicated by others then hopefully Team Boxee will be able to fix it with the help of Team-XBMC developers.

I'd love to post debug log and a backtrace if I knew what that meant. :eek:

hi belovedmonster
Basically post your /tmp/xbmc.log. also please also include output from glxinfo.
if the file is too large then paste the links to www.pastebin.com :)

@belovedmonster to generate a debug log, edit or create ~/.boxee/UserData/advancedsettings.xml to say:
<advancedsettings>
<loglevel>0</loglevel>
</advancedsettings>
after starting boxee, your log will be located at /tmp/<username>-xbmc.log.
thanks for sharing

I added two sources (well actually the same folder twice under different names), and then went to back to home screen and then into pictures which made the GUI go glitchy. Hope this comes across in this code.

Here is the glxinfo thing you asked for:

well, nothing in the log. i'm going to say its because the 440MX is quite the antique, and i'm wondering if it would work well at a lower resolution.

I never used to suffer from this before the most recent update though, had it done it from the start then sure we could put it down to my terrible graphics card, but I've seen it working just fine before the update so it is possible. :p
My machine is an antique though. :D

Nothing serious but when you use the sharescreen function under 10.5.4 and the other machine is running Boxee you get a very flickery image... ou can still control the other machine but the screen acts weird. On the actual machine nothing is wrong and all works fine.
