Speakers: 2.1 GE Ultrasonix (http://www.target.com/GE-Ultrasonix-2-1-Computer-Speakers/dp/B0002UTYPK/sr=1-11/qid=1229879550/ref=sr_1_11/192-2242928-4671865?ie=UTF8&index=target&rh=k%3Acomputer%20speakers&page=1)

hey,
I'm a huge fan of Boxee as well and I've been using it for 5 months now.
I run it on a MacBook Pro via my Remote. I have an old 19" screen mounted to the wall in front of my bed, as well as pair of cheap Logitech speakers.
my flat mate and i have a 1 TB-USB-HD attached to our Wireless Router packed with movies and TV-Shows.
Unfortunately this also means spending a lot of late hours in front of the screen and less hours asleep ;)
OS: Mac OS 10.5
Resolution: 1440x900
Connection: DVI to VGA
Speakers: 2.1 Logitech X-230 (http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/speakers_audio/home_pc_speakers/devices/208&cl=de,de)
Media source: HD, NAS, Internet

Been using Boxee since mid/late October, after kicking DirecTV to the curb a few weeks earlier (my blog post on the subject (http://tomdibble.wordpress.com/2008/10/24/dropped-satell…wo-weeks-later)).
We also use the AppleTV/FrontRow for audio (now streaming also to upstairs speakers via Airport Express), home videos, and some TV downloads (when quality is important to us ... but that's gotten more rare over the last several months rather than less so). Our audience is a large family, so interface quirks are not easily ignored :)
OS: AppleTV 2.3 (OS X 10.4.7)
Resolution: (??? Native AppleTV HDMI res ... ~1280x720 I believe)
Connection: HDMI to DVI (TV predates HDMI, and the audio goes to the stereo anyway)
Video: 50" HDTV (LCD Projection)
Speakers: 5.1 DTS/Dolby Digital home theater setup
Media source: Internet (90%), HD (10%)
Audience: Myself, wife, sister-in-law, 6 kids aged 2-12.

I have a laptop that has a broken monitor mount. I might be moving that out into the family room and hooking it up to the tv out there.
I just installed boxee a minute ago.
I think for remote options i'm going to use bluetooth and a wiimote for control, that seems like the most intuitive option and the most reasonable way to get the 'rents to use it.
For now, i'm using a duel monitor setup in my room. I have a 22" widescreen that is set as the main and a 15" that i use for other stuff (firefox and webapps) I'm surprised at how well boxee works with the duel monitors.

But it doesn't do 720p or 1080p playback... does it?
