View Full Version : AT symbol in SAMBA password fails

I have an '@' symbol in my Samba/Windows password and after a half day of frustration I finally realized it was preventing me from connecting to Samba network sources (source was listed as 'Not Connected') because the Samba string you use in the path also has an '@' in it so my password was getting truncated.

You need to escape '@'.

I also seem to recall seeing the Samba string including the password in clear text appearing in the UI on occasion - if I figure out where that was I'll post again.

yap. you are right about the '@'. we need to fix this.

it will be cool if you can reproduce the clear-text password issue and post the scenario.

thanks!
