no sound on Mac

audio on my macbook with leopard has stopped working with Boxee on the older release and has not gotten better with the newer release.
It works with all other Mac applications

what's your setup? are you connected to a receiver with optical out? or just using analog output?

This happened to me once too - the sound on my MBP just stopped working. I rebooted and all was well. I don't recall exactly what caused it.
